Private Practice
Consulting
The jump into the realm of private practice can seem daunting and overwhelming. With the plethora of information that exists on social media it can make the process feel that much more confusing, contradictory and lead you to avoid the transition entirely. I am not here to contribute to that experience and further overwhelm you. I am here to take the information that you provide me and create a plan of action that encourages you to bring your practice to where you want it to be.
It is through my lived experience that I developed the passion to assist others through their private practice experience in a way that was not available to me when I began my practice.
As a therapist with the proficiency of establishing and operating a successful private practice, I too have been where you are right now. Whether you are bursting at the seams with excitement of starting your own practice or frustrated with the barriers that you did not foresee, this current business page that you are reading is a testimony that you can be here someday too.
I provide expertise on the following areas of private practice:
-
Business Formation
How you set up your practice from a business stance in arguably one of the most impactful decisions. Whether you see yourself as a solo practitioner or envision yourself running a group practice I support other therapists toward creating their own sustainable business decisions.
-
Insurance Credentialing
I have spent countless hours engaging with various insurance companies throughout the credentialing process. It is with my knowledge that I am able to make up for the gaps of missing information within the application process in order to ease onboarding with insurance companies.
-
EMR Systems
I am well-versed in utilizing electronic medical record systems in order to streamline practice efficiency. By doing so I aid other therapists in creating a more seamless clinician and client experience.
-
Billing
I have invested notable time into interacting with insurance representatives in order to acquire accurate information that promotes efficiency within the billing process.
-
Marketing and Networking
I have developed a vast array of tools that promote a cohesive presence in connecting with the mental health community.
Private Practice Group Consulting
I offer ongoing consulting groups for mental health professionals at various stages of their careers. These groups not only create a community of support for those looking to create or expand their practices but provide insight and guidance at a lower cost than one-on-one consulting. These groups can be utilized as a stand-alone support, or in adjunction to individual consulting. Although topics may vary from week to week, topics you can expect to be covered include business formation, insurance contracting, billing, EMR systems, and client retention.

Through my personal experience with becoming a therapist and a private practice owner two things have really stuck with me:
The internet is saturated with information on how you “should” be running your private practice, and a lot of that information leads people to feel incredibly overwhelmed and difficult to gauge if it is even applicable to you. It is my hope that by gaining detailed information about who you are, what your ideal practice looks like, and how you want to get there, we can create a collaborative plan to get your private practice to where you want it to be.
There are a lot of barriers to running a private practice that are difficult to overcome without experience. When I began my private practice I spent so much time engaging in trial and error whether it was setting up the business structure, saving for taxes, credentialing with insurance companies, or submitting claims. With the combination of my personal experience and your specific goals, I am able to provide (personalized/tailored) guidance for you to avoid many of these barriers.
